Banque Populaire and Caisse d’Epargne signed a partnership agreement with Bpifrance to promote the international development of French SMEs and ETIs. This agreement formalizes the implementation of joint actions and enhanced technical and financial resources at the service of companies, to open up new growth prospects for them.
For SMEs and ETIs, international development represents real opportunities. But today, too few of them are taking the plunge: France’s market share in global exports has risen from 6.2% to 3.3% in 25 years.
In order to encourage companies to develop their business beyond borders, Christine Fabresse, General Manager in charge of the Banque de Proximité et Assurance, and Anne Guérin, Executive Director of Financing and the Bpifrance network, signed a three-year renewable partnership agreement on September 2, 2019.
An agreement that formalizes the implementation of joint actions and reinforced technical and financial resources at the service of companies, to open up new prospects for growth.
Thanks to their regional roots, the Banque Populaire Alsace Lorraine Champagne (BPALC) and the Caisse d’Epargne Grand Est Europe (CEGEE) benefit from their in-depth knowledge of local companies, their needs, and the prospects for international development.
They also each have a network of international trade experts and a wide range of products and services to respond to all export-related issues: payment security, account and flow management, trade finance, foreign exchange risk hedging, consulting, and management of international locations.
By joining forces with Bpifrance, a key partner for French companies, BPALC and CEGEE are strengthening their support system and broadening the solutions offered, particularly in terms of financing and guarantees.
The convention has four major axes:
– The organization of regular joint events for companies wishing to expand internationally.
– The intensification of synergies between networks and the systematic linking of experts
– Coordinated support for companies seeking technical or financial solutions
– The presentation of products and support services internationally
