After this summer’s Big Tour that ended on the 20th of August, Bpifrance comes back again on the 7th of October with the largest business meeting in Europe, Bpifrance Inno Generation (BIG). This year’s theme can be summed up with one word: “conquer”. The previous edition, that reached 19 million people, featured many top speakers among which Uhuru Kenyatta, President of Kenya, and Frédéric Oudéa, CEO of Société Générale.

This year again, many new speakers will address a wide range of topics during 400 awaited conferences, workshops, and masterclasses to better understand new tech trends and issues of tomorrow. Among this year’s top speakers: Agnès Pannier-Runacher, the French Secretary of State for Economy and Finance, Stéphane Bancel, CEO of Moderna Therapeutics, Jonathan Cherki, CEO of Contentsquare, and many more.

 

Africa under the spotlight

Like the previous editions, visitors can wander from platform to platform to discover various themes. Travel around the world with the Agora International platform and 6 international campuses that represents the different areas: Europe, North and Latin Americas, Africa, Near and Middle East, and Asia. “Among the continents highlighted, Africa will have a special place” said Pedro Novo, Executive Director in charge of Export. “The 2021 edition of BIG will be a stage in the programming of the Africa-France summit, with a delegation of 400 African entrepreneurs coming to meet French entrepreneurs. This is another opportunity to identify the dynamics and ambitions of a continent of the future.”

Other than themes specific to regional areas, many other platforms will cover all kinds of topics. First, all Bpifrance communities – La French Tech, La French Touch, La French Fab and Le Coq vert – will be present. These last two communities, representing the French industry and the green transition, will have their own platforms. Visitors will discover more about many other subjects such as: digital, investment, artificial intelligence, training, deeptech, women entrepreneurship, healthcare, etc.
