The capital investment activity of Bpifrance has been recognized by Pitchbook as one of the leading asset management firms in the world in 2023 (data from Q3 and the first nine months of the year).

With a team of over 160+ investment professionals, Bpifrance is considered one of the three major players in terms of transaction volume in the world (alongside KKR and Ares) and the leader in Europe (data for Q3 2023 and the first nine months of 2023), where its main investment interests are located.

Bpifrance is currently one of the largest asset management firms in France, focusing on French companies or companies with demonstrated business interests in France. It has been the driving force behind the French Private Equity landscape since its inception 10 years ago.

Thanks to its strong position in the French capital investment landscape, Bpifrance is now one of the few players, if not the only one, to have a complete vision of ongoing operations in small, medium, and large capitalizations in France.

In 2023, Bpifrance’s capital investment activity will have 50 billion euros in assets under management and a portfolio of more than 700 small, medium, and large capitalization companies. This has enabled Bpifrance to rank first among asset management firms globally with assets under management of more than 5 billion dollars, and asset management firms executing buyout operations (tied with KKR for Q3 2023).
