Bpifrance invests into private equity funds whose strategy targets French companies together with companies located in one or more foreign locations, with the clearly stated objective of accelerating their growth by promoting commercial exchanges between them.

These cross-border funds may be venture capital funds or development capital funds. They are legally structured as French entities (professional private equity fund) managed by independent management companies approved by the AMF. The teams are multicultural and have a demonstrated track record in the targeted geographical areas. They also have a local presence in addition to their location in France.
Some examples of success stories :
– Sino-French (SME) Fund, Sino-French (Midcap) Fund and Sino-French Innovation Fund managed by Cathay Capital Private Equity.
– African-French Fund managed by Africinvest.
– Transatlantic Fund managed by Siparex.
